INTERNATIONAL REVIEW OF ENVIRONMENTAL AND ARCHAEOLOGICAL FILM HAS STARTED

Marking this year's urban celebration "Sv.Car Konstantin I Carica Jelena" in Nis, the event was enriched with traditional film event "EKOpolis fest" in 2014, which opened at the Faculty of Philosophy in Nis. Program of the International festival of ecological and archaeological film was prepared by the Media Ecological Network-Ekopolis Serbia, under the auspices of Municipality of Palilula. Promotion of the film was preceded by a small celebration. The welcome speech of Mr. Rizgar Rencera, envoy of the Ministry of Culture of Kurdistan and addressing pof.dr Vladimir Radovic, president of the Council of 11th Ekopolis Fest, were greeted on behalf of the sponsors of the participants by Dragan Vidojković, artistic director of the Festival.

"Tonight we begin with the promotion of significant achievements of documentary film and TV production-Ekopolis fest, which has enriching the cultural area of our city and region for eleven years. This year, in addition to films which we are presenting, there are institutes and embassies of Italy, German, Polish, Iraqi province of Kurdistan, Department of the campaign "Clean Up the World" in Australia, promoting the documentary works and our students from the Faculty of Philosophy-stressed Dragan Vidojković. Part of the festival, by the end of this week, will be presented to our neighbors in Aleksinac. We have significant support from the Faculty of Philosophy in Nis and the National Museum in Belgrade with organization of this year festival. City Municipality of Palilula, supports cultural events with the aim that they fulfill their mission of educating and informing and maintaining continuity in the further implementation. On behalf of the president of Municipality of Palilula, Boban Džunić,-sponsors of the Festival, the organizers of the Festival, the filmmakers, and Myself would like a successful promotion of program, and I wish to all fans of the seventh art and ecology to enjoy the program that we have prepared, concluded Vidojković.

The eleventh "EKOpolis fest" was opened by Prof. Dr. Goran Maksimovic, Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy in Nis.

This unique festival began with the Italian film productions. In the movie "Lazio, landscape and history" Folko Kviliči (Folco Quilici), Italian director of documentary films of international renown, builds the story of millennial history and beautiful scenery of Lazio. The movie "Tergeste, invisible city, Fragments of Roman Trieste " by Giorgio Gregoria, introduces us to the Roman ruins hidden in the modern urban fabric of Trieste. An unusual and attractive visit to the ruins of Pompeii, through film reconstruction Night vision of Pompey remains director Massimo Andriolia introduces us to the everyday life of its people on the eve of the fatal eruption of 79 AD.
Fans of the seventh art in Nis and Aleksinac from 4th to June 8th will see 23 films from 7 countries. This year, two films from Kurdistan will be shown. Entrance to all screenings is free.
